I love the variety and consistency of the LARB podcast — the hosts are well-informed and articulate and likeable, and I really enjoy listening to them. They are also very grounded somehow, which is nice for a podcast about books and the zeitgeist and so on. That balance seems difficult to strike and I’m glad this podcast exists!

The LARB Radio Hour is the most consistently intelligent yet down to earth podcast about books and ideas. And the best part is that I never know what I’m going to get when I tune in. How is it always interesting??

LARB is the best podcast about current culture, literary specifically. The stars are the hosts who talk to their guests knowledgeably, without being overbearing, and have essentially decided what new books I will be purchasing. Even if it’s a book that doesn’t interest me specifically, the conversation always does. Love this show!

I “subscribe” to several book related and culture podcasts— but this is the only one I listen to constantly, because the range of well-curated guests, the quality of conversations and snappy pacing that doesn’t make me feel like there’s so much filler and recycled, empty sound bites. Particularly loved the recent show with the great Anand Giradharadas! Kudos to the hosts for always keeping it fresh and interesting, even with guests who are currently making press rounds elsewhere.

I love this show and can highly recommend it to anyone that likes to listen to insightful interviews with authors about their books. Very well informed hosts with great questions and insights. Anther favorite of mine are the end of year shows where the hosts share their favorite books, podcasts, movies etc.

I adore that this podcast always feels relevant to todays cultures and questions. However, I want to hear from genres other than literature (essays, poems, fiction). Can we please get some scifi, fantasy, historical fiction, etc? Those genres tackle relevant contemporary issues in different but equally interesting ways and deserve a seat at the table.

The host of the LARB Radio Hour podcast, highlights all aspects of a good read and more in this can’t miss podcast! The host and expert guests offer insightful advice and information that is helpful to anyone that listens!

Seth, Lori and Tom are a hilarious and insightful crew. And they always do a great interview.

The hosts are intelligent, funny and literary experts. I enjoy the banter between the hosts and their inquisitive yet professional questioning of guests. More discussions of non-fiction would be desirable.

This is a great source for contemporary authors and what they are writing, and the background that the authors are writing about.

This group really cares about the novels and literary issues they discuss, and it shows! Their audio quality has been steadily increasing, and their lightly edited conversations never fail to be enlightening.

I listen to a lot of literary podcasts. This one instantly became my favorite. I look forward to it every week.
