Best in Houston

Houston’s BEST sports talk show hands down. Coverage varies from upcoming developments during the offseason for the Texans to deep background on historic moments in Houston’s rich sports heritage. The focus of every episode is different reflecting the changing seasons. If you’re new to the series, definitely go back as far as you can for some very special interviews and reflections on events in your favorite sport. I listened for years especially enjoying baseball highlights and stories we’d NEVER hear on broadcast stations . I’m so glad to add this into my Apple podcast stream again. Keep up the great work, guys. YOU’RE THE BEST.

The worst!!!

I’ve tried and tried to buy in to this podcast. As a diehard Houston fan, I am embarrassed by your takes. You guys spend more time trying to clarify the others takes. It takes up half the show. I hate to say it. But I am very envious of Dallas sports radio/podcasts. Do better!

Provincial, difficult listening

These guys represent the Houston Sports Fan who subscribes to lame take haterism and nostalgia. Harden doesn’t have heart or hustle, the Westbrook trade was bad, BoB is a cunning personnel genius...it’s all there. I have tried to like this show four different times, subscribing and unsubbing along the way after every cringe-worthy comment from the hosts. Guests like Ben Dubose save this thing from sounding very parochial, if not downright silly. Guys: you were WRONG about Westbrook just like you’ve been wrong about Harden and (way) wrong about Clowney.

Both of the Podcast hosts are very knowledgeable about Houston sports. They generally agree, but occasionally don’t, and when this occurs this further enlivens the discussion while they each make their arguments.

A little bit of home living in CA

I love listening to Robert and RG during my morning drive to work. It’s hard to get commentary on Houston Sports living in California, but their commentary makes me feel like I still live in Houston. I listened to every postgame podcast during the Astros championship run and it was awesome! Robert and RG’s camaraderie is hilarious! Keep up the great work guys and I look forward to more informative and fun podcasts in the future!

If you are a fan of Houston sports you will like this podcast. It's well-made, entertaining, and it hits all topics in Houston sports. Rockets, Astros, Texans, UoH, UT, A&M. It's a must-have if you feel like the national guys don't cover your team enough. Last time I tried to watch ESPN I felt like I was wasting my time, but these talk Houston.

Strong to very strong

HST has consistently strong guests, great analysis, and is generally just a joy to listen to. I will listen to episodes twice just to savor all the nuances and intricacies I missed the first time around. If you're not listening, you're an idiot, but it also isn't too late for you. Start listening.
