I have been listening to MURS since the beginning when I would purchase tapes off Sandbox Automatic, HipHopSite.com, and ATAK. His honesty and transparency throughout the podcast has been a breath of fresh air. It is great to see an artist’s career through their own eyes.

I was a big fan of MURS since like ‘05 and went to like 3 Paid dues shows in the years after that but for some reason just forgot to keep up at a certain point. MAN, this podcast has reignited my appreciation for this artist and the ones he’s worked with. I’m a little late to the party but it’s so dope listening to the stories behind some of my favorite songs and going back and listening to his albums from the last 7-8 years! You are appreciated MURS. If you say you’re done putting out new music I trust that’s the right move and best believe I’ll have a couple physicals of that last release.

Best and realest rapper from LA. Love your insight as a rapper, black man and as a person. Your growth is astounding.

The best way I can describe this podcast is that is a 7 degrees of hip hop. He’s stories are incredibly interesting and addictive. Personally I’ve been binging the heck out of it. So dope.

I love that Murs is describing his music catalog song by song, verse by verse, bar by bar. One thing is to listen to the music and another is to understand all that happened behind the scenes. I enjoy getting a new perspective on the music and I especially love going back to listen after learning about how the music was created.

Long overdue review! Dopest podcast out there due to the insight and love that legendary emcee Murs brings to each and every episode. Murs is Hip-Hop so this podcast series is more than just a recap of his career musical efforts. He always keeps it real so one week you’ll get a breakdown what he’s got going on (did he just run a marathon, maybe just got back from a trip to Egypt) and a peep into the history of the world and hip-hop. Thankful that he decided to do this podcast I truly hope he does it with his group albums even if it is by himself or not a full album breakdown. Murs is truly a legend and his storytelling skills are impeccable. Every second of this podcast is such a rich and unique experience…it’s a real privilege to witness this man’s mind at work.

I’ve always liked Murs because of how honest he has been in his music. Only Chris Rock, Kevin Smith, and Murs can make me laugh by being so honest. That’s a short list, but I admire them all for their truthfulness. This podcast doesn’t disappoint in terms of how transparent Murs is with his stories. I can’t stop listening to this podcast and even listen to it at the gym instead of listening to music sometimes.

What a great podcast, Murs is basically telling his life story and musical journey here. It’s well put together, giving you a visual picture while your listening. He’s also dropping gems for us hiphop nerds…. Good job MURS !!!

Don’t why I’m late to the party on this one. I love hearing all the little details that went into everything. I makes me relate to the music so much more and has revisiting albums not just from Murs, but other artists that are mentioned throughout the podcast. His passion for the music, the culture, and all other things in life he talks about keep me looking forward to each episode.

This has been a good time, i had a delays fight and binge listened for 4 hours. Im a mues fan and a L.L fan, eligh and grouch should do there versions of this.

Met Murs twice, once in Columbus back in the day, and then a few years ago in Seattle.. definitely one of the most down to earth people/artists I’ve met. I’ll never forget when I went to that Columbus show at the Basement, told him I was a big fan, but I downloaded all of his music.. he said as long as I’m listening, that’s all that matters.. scooped 4 cds that day. Anywho, I’ve really been enjoying the depth of stories into these tracks/albums, the flowers he’s been giving other artists, and real life challenges he’s still facing. If people only knew the amount of thought and hard work that goes into making good music that’s timeless.. thank you for this podcast, it’s much appreciated!

It's a true gift for any longtime Murs fan. I’ve never heard an artist go this in-depth on the personal and professional developments in their life for each album in their discography. There’s a vulnerability in these descriptions that you don’t often get when an artist tells their own story. I highly recommend it for any Murs fan or fan of the 90s/2000s/2010s underground rap eras.

Informative anecdotes and hilarious stories, as in-depth episode by episode tales. I particularly appreciate the tangential side stories, which inevitably lead to some random knowledge about so many of our fave artists.

Informative, entertaining, funny and worth every second. The more Murs in your life, the better. This man is a legend and even if you’ve been following him for his whole career, your guaranteed to learn multiple new things every episode. Murs for President!

Murs has always been a good storyteller on songs so it’s no surprise that he’s just as engaging when going down memory lane. Lots of cool stories and interesting tidbits about all the people he’s met throughout his career.

Murs is a great host. I have always enjoyed listening to him because he is a very detailed speaker, but this podcast takes that to the next level. Ever wanted to hear him talk about Weird Al, Sega Dreamcast, or skateboarding? You’ll get that and a ton more here. Simply put, Murs Rules The World (of Podcasting).

I wish all artists dug this deep into their own crates. Murs reflects back on the chapters of his discography and doesn’t just shed light onto his own stories, but also frames a pivotal moment in culture that has never received the level of examination it deserves.

I have known this guy for most of our adult lives and am learning so much about his life by listening to this that quite honestly thing he’s an even better person than I already thought. Hoping for many more episodes as I look forward to my Tuesday morning drives because of this thing.
