Everything about this podcast is amazing - it’s so gripping, fantastic storytelling, excellent production - my fave true crime podcast out there!!

I can’t imagine being as young as madison AND possessing the kind of strength, fortitude, intelligence and artistry creating a podcast like this takes. She’s brilliant, passionate and never ever to be crossed.

This podcast grabbed me from the first episode. Madison addresses her father’s unsolved murder, digging into a case that’s been ice-cold for decades—but never far from her mind. The mix of personal emotion and investigative grit makes this way more than your average true crime story. Madison brings raw honesty to the mic, and you can feel the weight of every discovery. The pacing is tight, the interviews are powerful, and the production is top-notch. It’s equal parts heartbreaking and gripping. If you like your true crime with real heart—and a haunting sense of justice overdue—this one’s worth your time.

Has a compelling start but devolves into repeated bits that don’t move the story forward. Bummer.

Reaching for racism.

If you have ever been a part of trying a local, state or federal case, just skip this podcast. I wanted to like it. Kept coming back. But the last straw was the host babbling about “If I had to guess the FBI gets involved based on the age, sex or race of the victim or the morality of the murder.” What? It’s basic criminal procedure knowledge the FBI gets involved in murders with a federal nexus. There is no federal equivalent to murder. Interstate kidnappings and child murders. Murders on federal lands. That’s about it. Please read the rules of evidence or hire a consultant. Your dad deserves justice. Not understanding anything abbot the justice system doesn’t help. If you want to change a system you have to know what you’re talking about. Being a willfully uniformed martyr for 20 episodes doesn’t get you justice.

This podcast is addictive in a way that could only come from a family member who is just really really good at this!

Such a good show and brave host!

Narrator does a wonderful job explaining everything and has obviously work hard to find out the truth. It is heartbreaking because the narrator is the daughter of the murdered man. But, she keeps an open mind throughout.

Really loving this podcast. Madison’s storytelling is impeccable. She’s so transparent in her narrating and her dedication into getting justice for her father is paramount. Her personal connection is heartbreaking, but real. Eye opening and factual. I feel like everyone will have something to gain by listening.

This is crazy! I can’t believe this is in my home state. I’m beginning to learn that little ol WV is just as crazy as the rest of the world. We need a change. We need justice. It is not right for criminals and murderers have more protection than law abiding citizens, victims, and their families. Thank you for bringing this awareness and continuing to look for answers and the truth.

It is very, very easy to fall into the trap of disassociation with true crime — very easy to create distance from what people really go through when an unsolved murder starts to define their life. Madison breaks through all of that and tells this immensely personal and deeply powerful story about her father. Someone complicated and deeply loved, who never got justice.

I was pulled in from the beginning with the story telling Madison brought to this podcast. Her dad’s murder is still unsolved, but with the work she’s putting in, I believe she could solve his case.

As a fellow West Virginian, listening to this podcast, my heart aches for your family. Hearing your story, especially after it was brought to my attention through Sarah Turney's episode, has left me profoundly saddened. There's a particular weight to tragedy when it strikes so close to home, and as a Parkersburg native, I feel that connection keenly. I can only imagine the enduring pain and the tireless search for answers you've endured. Please know that even as a stranger, I hold you and your family in my thoughts, and I truly hope that one day, you find the resolution and peace you so desperately deserve.

I liked this podcast until Madison showed her serious lack of knowledge of how police work. It would really serve her well in this endeavor to work with police to learn the basics of police work.

Madison is well spoken but the podcast repeats the same thing in every single episode. It’s a repeat of “I have to solve this case” “the police didn’t do all they could have”. This could have been 1-3 episodes TOPS. I started season 2 (because I’m wondering if she is going to actually say something) and it’s the same repetitive nature as season 1.

This podcast is different than any other true crime pod! The host is so well spoken and I love the personal connection. I’ve been telling all of my friends to listen and I’ll continue to share with everyone I know! Xx

I had to keep checking I wasn’t listening an episode I’d listened to before there were so many repeats of interviews and the author’s own words. I don’t enjoy the author’s delusions about the legacy of crime her father’s enormous family were involved in.

You've got this! No family should have to go through what you have/are to get answers, and hopefully justice. I can't wait to see where Season 3 takes you.

This was such a good podcast at first. It really pulled me in and I was so interested. As the episodes continued it became very repetitive and there was no new information shared, I could not tell where or if the story was leading up to anything. Overall you really only need to listen to the first couple episodes.

Made it to episode 5 before she accuses all the CURRENT police officers of being racist for a murder that took place 30 years ago.

Madison, I was led here by an interview you had with Payne Lindsay. I hear you and I am with you. I am so sorry for your loss and for the lack of support from your family in solving this case. I’m experiencing a similar situation in my family regarding a newborn being exposed to fentanyl. I have investigated the heck out of it on my own including the years of abuse leading up to it. I need answers and I need people to be held accountable. I feel alone in that everyone else seems to want me to let it go. The child is irreparably harmed and so am I. I will NEVER let it go. KEEP UP THE HARD WORK!

I tend to agree with OkieArkansas with one exception. A lot of material is regurgitated in every episode. My advice is to condense. I stopped listening due to limited new story info in subsequent episodes. I’ll most likely start again in future. Good luck.

Podcaster makes far too many assumptions and uses woke ideology to make her story fit a false narrative.

The first half of this podcast was very compelling but since then I feel like it could all be maybe two episodes. The narrator is repeating and repeating and repeating herself with no additional evidence discussed and it is incredibly annoying and frustrating. The same points are made over and again. Get to the point or provide some new information. Something.

While I understand from a family standpoint where the host is coming from, she doesn’t seem to truly understand our justice system. It’s not up to a potential person of interest to prove they didn’t do it. It’s up to the police to prove a suspect is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately, it sounds like without a confession backed by what little evidence exists, due to the lack of competent police work during the original investigation, this will be nearly impossible for this case to ever truly be solved.

Good show but honestly the volume is awful. Some parts are so quiet and then after turning it up so loud!!

I’m new to this specific podcast & host. I became instantly hooked! She has a great voice for the listeners. She tells her story in such a good way for the ppl who don’t know. I love her Titles for each episode & how it connects so well by the end of it. Love her! 10/10 recommend. 💜
