LapoBKSuper well doneThere are so many great things about this series. The stories are of course interesting but it is well researched and very well edited. The light touches of sound design are done well too. It’s my pet peeve that so many podcasts use such obviously canned music. I do think longer episodes would be appreciated. Since it’s been almost a year since her last post, I’m not sure if this podcast will continue. I hope so.

valgal08Troubled mindsI appreciate the focus on mental health care in the latest episodes. As a healthcare provider I have seen the high cost of lack of access to mental health care in several states. It is a decades old problem and has no easy solution.
-
Matt_B_WPeople of ColorI thought I’d finally found a crime podcast that doesn’t have the phrase “disproportionately affects people of color”, but no.
-
TTMaloyFeeney FamilyThe episodes are way too short! 15 minutes, not including commercials, is not a podcast episode. I spent more time fast forwarding than listening. Also, the narrator and the journalist that was in every episode practically spoke in a monotone whisper. I kept turning it up when they spoke and down when others spoke.

keeks0208Loves itI really enjoy this podcast. It’s not really common to find a show that has different cases/topics each season and every season be a banger. Every seasons case is unlike the other that it hasn’t gotten repetitive or stale. Through investigations. I’m on the third season after binging for two days.

Authentic ozark hillbillyOzarks True CrimeYup, I’m a fan. One thing that always aggravates us people of the Ozarks is when writers or producers don’t get us. It’s not like it’s hard, we’re pretty common folks. But they tend to portray us and our location in a way that is not authentic. We don’t mind showing non-native people what’s behind the curtain (I can promise you it ain’t a wizard) as long as it’s authentic. It’s a poor region, we gots lots of problems. But we also have lots of good. Anne gets us, she writes us in a way that is true to the region but still it’s entertaining to other folks that aren’t from the Ozarks. The stories are great and her research is incredible. You can trust she’s telling the story based on the evidence, not opinion.

The hammerssGreat show but too shortPlease make the episodes longer and release episodes with consistency

M. LivesWell Researched and FascinatingIn a sea of true crime shows, this one stands out as one of the most meticulous. The host’s devotion to detail as well as hearing every voice yields truly fascinating, gripping episodes. A must listen not only for those interested in these particular cases but for true crime and mysteries in general.
-
Mrs. SLeeWell done!Enjoyed both podcasts. Keep it up, there’s more to discover. Ravell would be interesting and this current case of Dr. John Forsyth!
-
gbswiftieMust Listen!!Must listen! Not only is this in-depth but you can feel the compassion For the victims and their families!
-
db1723uIntriguing!Just started season 2 and am really enjoying the thoroughness of the research! Would love to see the disappearance of Dana Bruce tackled next!
-
Tears of hopeAwesome job!You are a true journalist and you put your personal touches in all the right places! I was on the edge of my seat both seasons. Couldn’t wait to see what’s next. I’m from Springfield too and you did this town, it’s people and most importantly the victims and their families justice. God bless you in your future endeavors! Keep up the great work! JS

respectfully declineGreat content, but……The ads drive me crazy. I understand they are necessary but my goodness, switch them out or something. Based on my listening I will definitively NOT be buying AG1 Greens. Otherwise the reporting and presentation are really good.

ekylesAverage - Fine But Not GreatI really appreciate her passion for her town and her overall style. She's seems to focus on the evidence and not biased in a particular way. The challenge with this an a lot of these - could be 20% of total time and no real new information. It's basic public information. Penalized for the "child witness" interview in final season 2 episode and giving in to woke fascist mobs with the "bias" and "people of color." Is the system biased against men? more men are convicted than women.

imtifflishHope the host comes back..… cause I just found this podcast and I love it! Episodes are short, so you can binge it. Host goes deep dive style- I heard info I’d never heard before. Delivery is calm and soothing, nothing distracting.

Megan D 45Great podcastGreat investigative work and great storytelling!
-
JustMeli90FeeneyGreat coverage. I cannot see how anyone else could have done it, he’s lucky he had a great lawyer
-
plane1880binged in one dayI really enjoyed this podcast and listen to it in one day
-
rogldr5Very compellingI really liked the reporting in this podcast BUT it was infuriating how short the episodes are.
-
MizLizWReally good podcast but an odd statementIn episode 8 you say, roughly, ‘a reporter who covered a case and a man who was convicted of murder in that case go on a road trip’- but the whole point is that Feeney was acquitted. 🤔
-
bigeyedfishieGreat ReportingReally enjoy Anne’s reporting on the cases from her hometown. The Springfield Three reporting was captivating and albeit unresolved, hopefully this show breathes new life into that unsolved case. Season two was also great. Looking forward to season three!
-
speare789Headed in the Woke DirectionI enjoyed this podcast until the host criticized the existence of double jeopardy laws because juries are people who have “unconscious bias.”
-
KJane7Lib52I was very happy to hear that there was a podcast about the Springfield Three as I think any new attention to this case can help! Anne is very easy to listen to, thorough, thoughtful, and I appreciate that there aren’t any snarky opinions.
-
hazelbnrUnbiased Excellent ReportingThis podcast communicates this story in a factual and interesting way without being lascivious. It is respectful to all involved. May the deceased RIP🙏 I have listened to both seasons, of what is currently available, and this presentation should be a model for other creators in terms of ethics. Thank you to Bart Streeter for his heartfelt honesty.
-
Avonmomof4Want to hear more!Excellent podcast… wishing there were longer episodes.
-
kleochelleAwesome podcast! These two ladies did a great job! This is a must listen⭐️

The Copper CactusInteresting story, not loving story tellerWhile I find the story interesting and the amount of research that’s been done is intriguing and impressive. However, the narrator has a tone that is a little too sleepy to keep me interested.
-
Dixie.10Feeney familyI really like how you tell the case. I do not like how short each episode. It is so much better to be able to have a long session without having to wait for another short session to start. I am so frustrated the disappointingly short episodes hardly seem worth the time. At least an hour would hold our attention much more. You actually tell the story very well. Give us a chance to get into it.
-
Hulla blueWowPlease I need to hear more of the Fenney episodes! Sooo good!
-
Tulips21InterestingSeason 1 great! Love to hear unknown stories. Season 2 very interesting! Wondering why keep making a big deal about how John Feeney didn’t move out of murder house. If my family died, no matter how or where I’d never move out of home with their memories. Most other stuff he did- more than questionable! Can’t wait to finish.
-
JonasboneramaWow…So great! Incredibly thankful for a season 2 of this amazing podcast.
-
K8LWell done and interesting!Good stories, good research/interviews, good sound and speaking voice, describes an area I know pretty well accurately
-
BELPAnother great podcastI was really captivated by Annie’s first podcast about The Springfield Three and this one is proving to be just as vivid and chilling. She paints such a picture of the Ozarks, like you’re right there. Great storytelling!
-
stephcutshairHairstylistAwesome podcast! I’m from Missouri and have been a hairstylist for over 20 years. I wondered how close they looked at Cheryl’s clientele. We see many people everyday and clients do get attached over their stylist.
-
DulcenbambinaLove this ♥️I really love how your soft spoken voice makes me connect to this case! Awesome 👏
-
417sparkyWell doneI graduated the same year as these girls and grew up an hour away. This story was a huge part of my early adult years and it was very interesting hear it put together in a cohesive well thought out story. Bingeworthy for me for sure. Springfield is hardly the sleepy small town they try so hard to portray however, even back then.
-
Matt NewellWell doneVery good reporting on a sad subject. I’m hoping this podcast will shed more light on what happened to these poor women. Prayers for their families.
-
NHPodcastsPlays to tired racist tropesThe amount of times the narrator reminds us that when she speaks of these missing women, we should imagine them as beautiful, blond and blue-eyed is disturbing. Makes me wonder if a PoC would have been seen as deserving of this investigative effort and compassion should they go missing.
-
Harmonies55The Springfield ThreeMy cousin owned this house and may have when this happened. I can’t remember but my aunt lived there and I’ve spent several night in this home. My sister graduated the same day as the girls from another high school in Springfield. So, we were in town visiting when this actually happened. I’ll always feel a connection to this house and event. Great podcast
-
SheilabyrdieGreat podcastUsing the dog to get Sherill to open the door makes sense. But the intruders being already in the house, when Suzie & Stacy got there doesn’t. It appeared that Sherill was already in bed and Suzie & Stacy had at least gotten undressed for bed when the intruders came in. My mom went to same salon to get her nails done that Sherill worked and my father, a photographer, had taken some photos for Sherill for business cards. Although I’m enjoying the podcast, I take exception to referring to Springfield as a small town, where no one locked their doors. Springfield is the 3rd largest city in Missouri. Since this case, there have been 2 other homicide cases that have made national/international news. Fortunately they were both solved, one in a matter of hours. All those suspects have been tried, convicted (1 pled guilty) and are serving their sentences, with one on death row

Columbus 1990<3From SE Kansas and RememberI am really close to the same age as Susie and Stacy. I grew up in a small town just across the Kansas/Missouri state line, about 90 mins-2hrs west of Springfield. There was a big billboard on I-44 just as you get into Springfield. I remember this case being in the Joplin Missouri news endlessly (Joplin MO news is considered local to SEKS and NEOK). This was a great podcast. Ann did a great investigation. This was one of my favorite podcasts ever.
-
jsygvduSomething seems offVery interesting case, but so unfortunate and sad. I am convinced the SPD know way more then they are not sharing. Typical police department.
-
CassTay185Interesting caseAnne is an excellent host and I hope she tells another true crime case. I’ve heard of this case before but never all the details. It’s so mysterious I still don’t have a suspect in mind. Anne was great at giving the facts and timeline of this case.
-
redbeanrinaFine…The story is tragic and sad but the reporter / podcaster plays into every cliche about missing people- “care about this person because they are pretty, petite and blonde”… as if we shouldn’t care if they weren’t.
-
BaeOfPigsFull of clichesGave it a listen as I’m from the area and was curious how the case would be discussed. I don’t regret listening, but it’s really nothing special if I’m totally honest The narrator copies every tired cliche from every run-of-the-mill true crime show you’ve heard a million times by now. As others have mentioned, everything regarding the case is discussed in detail within the first three episodes, and most everything after that is just filler Also found it pretty weird how they really play up the fact that “this case changed EVERYTHING, Springfield was NEVER the same again. The city is haunted by these women”. Lol, no we’re not. Not at all. Almost no one even knows this happened. Sorry, but that’s the way it is. They clearly are trying to build this into some cultural atom bomb that it simply isn’t anymore Overall extremely standard and not very interesting or informative. Give it a listen if you’re curious, but don’t raise your expectations too high
-
LittleMamaRenEvery last detailGrowing up in Springfield, I knew many details of this case and it still haunts the town. It’s true that Springfield hasn’t been the same since. So many people don’t know all the details of this unsolved case and this podcast covers everything.
-
Hugh JunitLoved itAnne is a great speaker and this podcast was a great listen (I’m actually in a re-listen now!) June 7, 2022 will be the 30 year mark since Sherrill, Suzie and Stacy disappeared. I was a Cadet Sgt at SPD and present during the 5:00pm briefing that day, accompanied Officer Zanetta Hay-Gann inside the house later, and did some information gathering for Lead Investigator Detective David Asher This incredible podcast series of 13 episodes (approx 5hrs total) by Anne Roderique-Jones is a must-listen full of details you didn’t know, as well as more recent tips that I never heard and bet you haven’t either!
-
MbfaithNot the Best True Crime PodcastIt was quite repetitive and after about the third episode there wasn’t much new introduced.
-
camille2590So insightful!I love this podcast! I host my own 90s themed show and I had heard of this mysterious case before, but Anne has given so many details! I like her interview Ming style and it makes me feel I’m right there at the interview in person. If you haven’t listened to “The Springfield Three” you’re missing out!
