Why are we putting the geo-bachelor life on a pedestal and laughing about it? This should not be a goal for any marriage. If we want to attract and recruit the next generation of quality human beings, we shouldn’t be glorifying a marriage where the couple hasn’t shared domicile for a year. Poor representation of the military in this one.

This is the first podcast I have ever cried while listening to . His story was really powerful and I’m happy he came out on the other side.

The guests are solid but it’s incredibly hard to listen to these serious war stories when the host seems to be on laughing gas just chuckling the entire time. Talking over the guest, finishing his sentences etc. let your guests speak.

This is a great resource for lessons learned and candid leadership conversations. I use some of these topics in my day-to-day discussions. It’s great to hear about the mentality of some of these guests. You only hear about the actions but rarely what’s going on through their minds of these phenomenal men and women. Solid work!

Great conversations like how it is tied to the team room. My idea for new content: I would like to hear a conversation with our NSHQ SELs perspective. I think this is important as we shift away from AFG a NATO mission and we move towards GPC. We will again be Combined with NATO SOF. How do we leverage the lessons learned of why NSHQ was created to the next ridge line. We must do it with NATO so hearing there perspective now will shape tomorrow.

As a civilian treating retired Green Berets and dear friends with active duty members of 10th group this podcast has been an invaluable resource. More than anything it got me through the recent deployment of my best friend. Beyond the insight into their world, I have been honored to listen to stories, discover leadership and life lessons in every episode. This podcast has given me a home and a safe place. It is a testament to the character of the SOF community and the culture of family, team, and service we can all learn from. I could go on but the point is listen. Worth it.

I find the podcast provides a perspective from the warriors point of view. The feelings expressed are real and raw. The advice given is from a warrior to a warrior in acknowledging the physical ,mental and spiritual needs of soldiers.

Young NCO here in the traditional army, extremely informative for all leaders, not just army or SOF community. Many lessons about mentality and how to lead soldiers, can translate to any business. Awesome job!

I really appreciate listening to these episodes, as a military mom, and to learn leadership skills I can use in my professional life. Always good content. I always appreciate the point of view of family first and teamwork. Great stories. I would give higher that 5 stars if I could.

The gentlemen running the podcast seem to talk more than the ones who are invited to speak. It’s obvious when an episode goes almost 2 hours. A good podcast usually runs 45 minutes to an hour depending on the content and if they can stay on track.

I started listening to SOFcast to learn more about Special Forces, but quickly realized the leadership lessons transcend the military. I’ve recommended this to several people that I work with and mentor. The podcast is informative and easy to listen to- the hosts try to explain the acronyms and jargon related to the military. One of my favorite podcasts!

They have had some great guests, very insightful conversations and is absolutely worth a listen. The interviewers are well prepared, have engaging conversation and make it seem effortless. The guest list is broad and all offer insights into not only the SOF world but also into humanity. Definitely looking forward to continued content from this team.

The concepts they speak of are correct but unfortunately they are out of touch with what actually happens. I always wondered at what level do senior leaders lose touch with what actually is happening within the teams. Company Commanders and SGMs will continue to check these blocks that get pushed down on them from up top but ultimately they only care about their own career and will continue to push high performers because OERS AND NCOERs don’t care about these topics.

I discovered this podcast on LinkedIn and have not been disappointed in anyway. The ability to hear these leaders, Greg and Matt, interview true American heroes about sacrifices they make to ensure our freedom and talk about subjects once taboo, provides a glimpse into our elite forces from all branches. The leadership at USSOCOM is made up of America’s best. So much is to be gained from this podcast. It certainly makes me a proud veteran to know who is in our corner. Job well done. Highly recommend this podcast.

Having worked with and around the SOF community for 10 years I’m constantly looking for ways to learn and stay connected to the community. I just listened to my first SOFCast with Frank Anello as the guest and it was fantastic! The level of transparency, humility and real conversation was excellent. The 80:00 flew by. Have subscribed and will listen often going forward.

I have worked for the USSOCOM RIS Program for over 14 years and have helped to support, alongside my team, the SOFC4ISR Tactical community with great pride and this podcast is such a great opportunity for myself and my team to understand the Enterprise community, hear stories of those battalions / units / SOF groups that we have supported for years. Being a Soldier that has only supported the SOF community a couple times throughout my 20 years, this podcast provides great insight to pieces of the puzzle that conventional Army SELs are missing in today’s OE. Definitely would recommend this Podcast to all of the SELs that I work with at the strategic level.
