turksandchaosBest Pet Biz PodcastI love listening to these episodes while I’m on dog walks and when I need some motivation in my business. The episodes are fun and full of helpful information, ideas, and sometimes super relatable stories. Thank you for your time in making these for all of us in the pet world.

musicmovielover14Participant in BullyingMeghan and Collin are not leaders in the pet sitting industry. Instead they encourage horrible business practices including nickeling and diming clients. They have a Facebook group called “sitter confessionals”. Someone posted that they did a meet and greet and sent an invoice to the client, which was not paid. The client decided to go a different route and canceled the request. The sitter reached out to the group. Several people commented to charge for meet and greets. I made my own comment in disagreement and did so factually. No other profession charges for consultants or estimates. Even lawyers and accountants usually give 20-30 minute consults before charging. There is other things pet sitters can do besides charging. When I commented this, another member commented on my comment and said “it’s insulting to tell others how to run their business”. That’s the point of the group is to give advice. I gave mine factually but as an opinion that charging for meet and greets is a horrible business practice. And in response to her I said “it’s insulting to charge for meet and greets when other professions don’t”. Meghan and Collin deleted my whole comment thread. When I messaged asking why.. they said “saying that it is “insulting” was not appropriate.” My use of insulting was in response to someone using it against me. This member then tagged me in her own comment asking “why I deleted my comment and was it because everyone was ganging up on me and I knew what I posted was wrong?” So purposely egging me on and using bullying tactics. I posted my original comment again on the original thread again. And then replied to the member tagging me in her comments “nope, you got it removed by the admins for your bullying and use of the word “insulting”. But as you can see it’s posted again!” Meghan and Collin instead of diffusing the situation ended up blocking me from the group and it came down to because my view doesn’t match theirs in regards to charging clients. They participated in the bullying. Everyone should be able to give their own advice on how to run a business for people to choose the option that works best for them. If people disagree with someone’s advice, they do not need to engage in argument and can make their own comment in favor of their opinion. When a similar review was posted to their business page, they turned around turned off reviews from their page. Again censoring people when their views do not align with theirs. Not at all appropriate and these two clearly do not know how to properly handle conflict situations nor the differences in regional language and voice. I do not recommend anyone to take advice from these two.

HuntBonAn invaluable resource for pet sitters and business ownersI started listening to Pet Sitter Confessional about 1.5 years ago and haven’t stopped! Meghan and Collin are so eloquent and thoughtful with their words and the information they choose to share with their listeners. They cover more topics than I’d ever be able to brainstorm, and I’m so thankful for that! I have gotten at least one takeaway from every single episode that I’ve listened to. They release new episodes very often (multiple times a week?! Who has time for that?!) and they’re ALL worth the listen. This podcast helps me keep a clear mind and recognize that I’m not alone in my woes as a service-based business owner. Meghan and Collin genuinely want to share their knowledge and bring the community together. Pet Sitter Confessional is my favorite resource as a professional pet sitter! Anyone who has the desire to start pet sitting or is already in the industry should give it a listen - you’ll be glad you did!

VenturianTale is awsomeAn Invaluable Pet Sitter’s Resource!!I just started listening today (11/2021) after seeing PSC featured in a FB group: Pet Business Support & Resource Group. Every podcast covers pertinent content and feels like I’m sitting at the table with the hosts, sharing a cup of coffee and enjoying their conversations! Supporting PSC is that simple: a cup of coffee a month, and the information we all get back more than covers that value!! Thank you so much! Ashley @AMPS Pet Service

Jess SchwarzA Huge Thank You!Collin and Meghan, First and foremost I want to say a huge THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I’ve been listening to Pet Sitter Confessional for the past four months on my hour long commute to and from work. What an incredible resource! To say you’ve been an inspiration is an understatement. During those four months, my dream of creating a pet sitting business has grown into a reality. I started my LLC, built my website, purchased insurance, wrote a contract, left my job and so much more while listening to you. The stories, words of wisdom, encouragement, resources and knowledge shared in your podcast have been my motivation. On days when I felt like an imposter, your words helped me feel the fear and do it anyways. I have to give a shout-out to my favorite episode (although it’s difficult to choose). Episode 163 Insurance with Colleen Giles-Harris is one I listened to multiple times because I found it so informative. It was very helpful to take a deeper dive into the options provided by Pet Sitters Associates. Keep doing what you’re doing! There are so many people listening, cheering you on and waiting for the next interview! Jess

Sakura32224I love this podcast!Even though I’ve been pet sitting professionally for over 10 years, I’ve found many things mentioned in this podcast to be very helpful. Sure, there may be episodes for the more inexperienced person just starting out so I just move on to the next episode if that’s the case. I’ve gotten ideas on how to improve some processes and keep up with the technology that’s available to us nowadays. Great job guys!
