AlbeamyFantastic podcastThe writing in this podcast is brilliant! It is not a typical true crime podcast that just rewrites a news story. I really enjoy the focus on victims and thought-provoking perspectives discussed.
-
lkakPhenomenal podcastDuring COVID, I longed for news from far away… and searched out fantastic podcasts from around the world. Since my friends live in S Africa, I immediately turned to this podcast. Incredibly well done.
-
Sjak1961Great podcastNicole tells the cases with lots of information and respect, love her voice💖🤩
-
raspberry peachCompelling and well doneI’m partial to true crime podcasts with non-American hosts, especially when they’re telling stories from their home countries. Love the unfamiliar cases, police procedures, cultures. This one is absolutely top notch. Host Nicole is thoughtful and compassionate without ever getting maudlin or hyperbolic. Her writing and delivery are tight, the stories she chooses are interesting and varied, overall a gripping and well-produced podcast. Been bingeing it for days and I’m not remotely sick of it yet.
-
Nymeria1976Thank youMy brother in law and his family lived in South Africa until recently and I’m always on the lookout for SA related content. I’m also big on true crime so this scratches the itch. I appreciate the context given regarding political and social climate of 🇿🇦at various points of time

b3853rGreat informative & interesting podcastCongratulations from Pahrump, Nevada, United States on Episode 100! 🎉🎈🎂🎊❤️🥂🥳🥳🥳. I’ve been a fan from Episode 1. Very interesting podcast podcast with a clear, concise & pleasant host.
-
marialovesbooksNew FavoriteContent very well researched. Delivery is excellent. Nicole is empathetic and her remarks thought provoking. Her voice is calm and soothing and I wish I could buy her a cup of coffee and discuss more true crime with her. Love this podcast!
-
smashbfitGood true crime podcast but…I enjoy the storytelling and level of detail in this podcast, but wish it were more representative of overall violent crime demographics in South Africa. The vast, vast majority of violent crime and murder victims are black men, but the podcasts disproportionately focuses on crimes with white female victims (and white victims generally). I understand this is in part a product of limited availability of background and media materials for crimes against black victims but it’s a bit disappointing.
-
qavvikAmazingJust discovered TCSA and I am HOOKED. Such fantastic writing and delivery. These are stories I haven’t heard before and they are wild. Please check it out!
-
Jen1G0Riveting, informative, educationalThank you, Nicole, for the amazing depth, clarity, and ethic that you bring to your stories. Since discovering your podcast, my daily commute is has the lovely sound of your voice telling with such eloquence, the humanity of the victims and the relentless efforts toward judgment for perpetrators.

KJMLALA16The BestAmazing storyteller and so smart
-
mamamabreaFirst time listenerI was introduced to this podcast in by a Southern Fried True Crime listener, and this did not disappoint. I always start on episode 1, the quality is the best first episode quality I’ve experienced. I’m hooked.
-
NancyCalTongue snapI would give a 5 star but I struggle with the smacking of tongue or whatever it is by the podcaster.
-
Merricat123Victims?Does a lovely job claiming it’s all about the victims while the Facebook page is a dumpster fire of bullying. And posts that have nothing to do with TCSA.
-
Piranha1616riPlanned on giving 5 stars until episode 27Maybe I misunderstood but pedophiles don’t deserve the kind of compassion you’re talking about
-
DetroitBxtchWonderful!I love crime and absolutely ANYTHING South Africa. Nicole is an amazing storyteller and her podcasts are all detailed and very unique. Much love from Georgia!
-
Lp121681Love it!No babble just straight to the point.
-
volgal64Love love this podcastWhile listening to another true crime podcast they mentioned TCSA and encouraged people to take a listen. I was totally hooked after the first episode. I listen to a lot of true crime an I have to say Irina not only does impeccable research but you can tell how much she really cares about what she is doing and the content she decides to share. The episode with Connor Isaac’s parents was heart wrenching an brought me to tears. I honestly do not know how Irina was able to make it through that episode. Do yourself a huge favor an listen to this podcast. You won’t regret it! Tamie M

acorbello92ExcellentThis podcast is so well done. I love it.
-
Ye Olde Crime PodcastLovelyNicole does an amazing job with this podcast covering cases that are a mix of mainstream and, more often than not, under-reported. Each case is well researched, and her soothing accent make for a smooth, true crime listen that is truly mesmerizing and educational. I highly recommend.
-
AshleyFlowerscansuckitWell-crafted storiesI came upon this podcast on the recommendation of Nothing Rhymes with Murder. This podcast is definitely not in the true crime/comedy genre but it is a great one in the more serious vein. The host does a lot of research and tells these stories very clearly and with respect to those involved. It’s great to find a podcast that doesn’t do US crimes!
-
QT618SIMPLY THE BEST!!This is just my humble opinion but I truly believe this podcast and the host Nicole are the best! I’m so impressed with the manner in which she tells the story, such a soothing voice and adorable eloquent accent. The content has been well researched, the victims are the main consideration, as they should always be and the stories are some of the most unique I have heard. Thank you Nicole and all at that work diligently to bring us this fascinating podcast!
-
ltavorGreat podcast, keep them coming :)I love this podcast. I have been listening to true crime podcasts for a while now and I would have to say this is definitely one of the best. Fair, empathetic and informative. Keeps my attention the whole time which is difficult because I do get bored easily, so thank you! Best thing of all is the calm voice - much needed for the sad stories told.
-
TonieMaysAbsolutely mustThis is a new favorite. Just when I thought I had heard it all. Trigger warning due to the horrific details but well worth the time. I appreciate the obvious diligence of the host research and details with just the right amount of personal input. Love it!
-
Boston Crime AddictFascinating!!I just started this Podcast and I'm hooked!! The content is great and the research impeccable!! I love the lack of banter!! I also appreciate the respect and honor given to the victims!! As someone who has lost a family member to murder, I find this extremely respectful!! A ++++
-
Mar-yTrue Crime with a S African accent? Yes please! What an interesting show with a host that sometimes shows a wry sarcasm that I just adore. She is respectful of the victims and has clearly researched the topics very well. Definitely a new favorite!
-
CJIam12Wow!I love this podcast, the intensity and research makes it such a great listen! I highly recommend! CJ @ Beyond the Rainbow - True Crime’s of the LGBT 🏳️🌈 Podcast
-
Cheetocat8Great podcast! This podcast was recommended to me by a friend. I’m from the states and am into true crime. The issue with other podcasts is that they repeat the same stories over and over. This podcast has crimes from South Africa that I have never even heard of. The presenter has a great voice and I can tell a lot of work and research went into the podcast. It’s honestly one of my favorite pods!
-
ktothet13<3I love this show! I’m always on the lookout for cases outside of my bubble and Nicole does such a wonderful job. Highly recommend
-
stellie2702Very well researchedNicole is a fast talker and sometimes the editing makes the podcast at seem rushed. But the research is top notch and there is no silliness like you will find in some true crime podcasts. Check this one out! You will not be disappointed!!
-
morbidologyAmazing!I really do love this podcast. It’s amazing to hear episodes about lesser-known cases. You can really tell how much research goes into each episode and I LOVE Nicole’s voice and accent.
-
JesscanneGreat podcast !Narrator does a great job . I’m always looking for good true crime podcasts from other countries and this did not disappoint.
-
American revert MuslimahInteresting conceptI enjoyed the first episode but wish it had a bit more content. For example, more of the audio recordings could have been played, as they make the story more interesting. The continual music cuts also become redundant after a while. But the narrator does a good job and I enjoy hearing about SA true crime.
