Great length and not a bunch of filler
I always thought I should have been a lawyer. Listening to to the nuance of jury selection, cross examination and strategies is very fullfilling

    Great Podcast!
Somehow, I just discovered this podcast in 2024. Great podcast for trial lawyers and anyone interested in the great trials from the last decade.

Learned more from 1 ep than 3 yrs of law school
Hands down my favorite podcast. Outside of doing trials, there’s no better way to learn plaintiff lawyering than listening to the great living trial lawyers do deep dives into their cases. Steve and Yvonne are obv very accomplished trial lawyers in their own right and I love the genuine curiosity they have for each guest and case. They look at the billion dollar verdicts but also sometimes the 6 figure ones too, recognizing that some of the latter are triumphs too. Yvonne is incredibly sharp and always asks the q’s that trial newbies would find helpful. Each episode is its own full drama from facts to verdict and all the oh crap moments too! Oh and the best part is that they share actual documents from the trials so you can read these great trial lawyers’ opening, closings, jury instructions, etc. It’s really an incredible resource, deeply inspiring. Yvonne and Steve put a lot of work and effort knowing so much about the cases and guests, but I hope they never stop!!!! My fave episodes are Eric Fong, John Uustal, Randi McGinn, Render Freedman, and Nick Rowley.

    Johnson trial
So I was looking up information on someone and I saw where there was a link to you guys about the Johnson vs. Jacob Lee case and I came to listen to that episode. You guys did an amazing job with it. When the wreck occurred I was in a relationship with Lee’s older brother and the events that happened after that will forever stick with me. I was near where the scene happened. I left maybe 15 mins before and still to this day cannot believe it all happened. My heart goes out to the Johnson’s and I will never forget them.

Wealth of knowledge within easy going, interesting conversations
I’ve devoured several episodes of this podcast over the last few days. The trials are incredibly interesting, and I have enjoyed learning about areas of the law I am not that familiar with. The hosts are engaging and have an easy rapport with the guests. The episodes are not too long and fun to listen to while at work or working around the house. Plus I have a running list of trial tips and advice in my phone notes to use in the future. 5 stars all around!

    Very insightful and entertaining podcast!
I listen to a ton of podcasts, and this is one of my favorites. The guests are great, and the hosts prompt (and provide) amazing insights. The hosts are very sharp and entertaining and seem to spend an enormous amount of time preparing for each episode. The effort is much appreciated!

    Appreciate the ProTips
I love the tips I’m learning in each episode. I’m about to try one of those creative tips in a deposition of my Defendant!

    Bias
A more apt name would be Great Plaintiffs’ Trial Podcasts. It appears as though any trial that ends in a defense verdict is automatically deemed a bad verdict to the hosts of this podcasts, as every single one of these podcasts is about a runaway plaintiffs’ jury verdict.

    Mandatory Listening for Trial Lawyers
The best trial lawyers talking about the best trials with the trial lawyers who risked it all for their clients. Courage, experience, motivation - for the select few lawyers who are willing to try a case. Also - Shane’s case was the best!!!

    Must Listen
Listen and learn. This podcast is great for those wanting to dive into the deep end of litigation. It gives you a first hand explanation of trials from all over the country where litigators deliver for their clients.

    Great listening for a non-lawyer!
I have always been interested in law, forensics etc. I am a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner who often drives for work and this podcast never fails to keep my attention! I’ve learned so much especially in the areas of medical malpractice. I have actually gone back and listened from the very first podcast! The cases are interesting, sad, and informative but never boring. I love the interaction between you two and your guests as well as your attempt to come up with different adjectives for your cohost during the introduction :) Thank you for creating such an awesome podcast for a non-lawyer who just loves to educate herself on these important topics!

Treat Listening to Great Trial Lawyers
I’m a lifelong certified litigation paralegal and have worked preparing and attending trials on both sides of the versus sign, with a preference for making the case. I love listening to the two of you, and reliving the experiences. Thanks for putting on a great podcast highlighting interesting cases...and keeping me up way past midnight every night.

    Such a great podcast!
As a fellow trial attorney in a small state where it’s extremely hard to get money out of juries also trial rules are stringent, these cases in other states are fascinating to me. All the guests and the hosts give so many awesome advices/pointers during trial. Some cases were heartbreaking too. I have been nonstop recommending this podcast to all my attorney and non attorney friends. Great job! I listened to all of them and now I’m at a loss. Lol

    Excellent content!
If you’re a trial lawyer, subscribe. Great War stories from some of our Nation’s top warriors, like Randi and Pat. My only suggestion is that the podcast could cover, in an episode or two, a few war stories from trial attorneys who are hitting six and seven figure verdicts on the cases we try the most often, like car collisions and slip/trip and fall cases. I’m in the trenches fighting against the GEICOs and Allstates on soft tissue cases with gaps in treatment, bad social media postings by the client, trying to get ahead of the pre-existing DDD defense, so I would love to hear from lawyers who are hitting numbers on these small, mid-size cases, where I could pick up some good strategies that I can roll out the next trial. All in all, amazing content, so thank you, guys.

A must listen for trial lawyers!
Two excellent trial lawyers interview impressive guests about their interesting and entertaining trials. It’s equally hilarious and educational and I definitely plan to keep listening. The cases are also presented in a way that non-lawyers can enjoy it too and learn more about everything behind the scenes that goes into trying a case before a jury. One episode may or may not involve polygraphed sperm so of course it has my recommendation!

    Fascinating!
If you like true crime but don't know what happens after the arrest, you'll love this new podcast! The interviews are good, the trials featured are fascinating, and you don't have to be a lawyer to understand what they're talking about. They even have some bonus episodes discussing how trials work and so forth.

Great podcast for lawyers & lay people!
Outstanding podcast for both attorneys and the general public. A peek behind the curtain of what goes into a trial that the public doesn't see, and insight into the attorney's strategy. Fascinating!
