Whether your kid is neurotypical or neurodivergent, I've got ya. I’m Amy Lang, a sex and parent educator, and in my frank (really frank), opinionated, and full-of-swears-advice-column style parenting podcast, I answer real questions from real parents about the talks. I also provide topic-specific scripts so you can sound like a pro. Most episodes are a potluck of questions that run the gamut from abortion to porn and everything in between. They need to know about all of these things by the time they start middle school.*When you have no idea about the best age to start the birds and bees talks; what’s age appropriate; and what to actually SAY to them about sex, it makes the sex talks daunting (to say the least)! Get the conversation started!

My comfort level talking to my boys about all things sex has skyrocketed since listening to this podcast, finally overcame my “embarrassed about sex” childhood baggage. Informative and Hilarious

Amy does an excellent job tackling all manner of topics related to kids and sexuality - I find myself chuckling at the same time that I’m receiving valuable, actionable information to teach my kids about all aspects of sexual health. I appreciate the mix of insight into the biology and psychology of sexual development, as well as Amy’s tips and scripts for opening up conversations with my kids. I think you need to listen to the way you introduced this topic. It’s sensitive and calling it “weird” is wrong. I’m sure your intentions we’re to create a safe space for your listeners, but as a parent and a therapist that specializes with children and adolescents I was disappointed.

Crucial support for raising informed kids!

I discovered Amy Lang while working a progressive preschool. Now I’m a parent as well, and I am so grateful for her help creating a more sex positive and transparent family environment than the one in which I grew up. She’s down to earth, just a little bit irreverent, and extremely thoughtful about being inclusive. This podcast is a great place to start learning scripts to talk to kids about their bodies, their safety, and what the heck sex is (and why it’s for adults!). It always makes me laugh. Go listen!

Love this!

Being raised in a sex-negative culture, this show helps unlearn unhelpful attitudes. It’s full of advice to help my son cultivate a healthy and informed attitude about his sexuality and relationships. I also appreciate the book recommendations for us adults!!!
