    Excellent BWCA podcast.
This podcast is great. Hosts Derek and Alan are great on mic and their knowledge of the Boundary Waters is spot on. I have learned a lot about Coghlans camping gear and Totino’s pizza rolls. Can’t wait for the episode on Bog Lake.

    Enjoyable without Adam
Listened to the Ham lake fire episodes again, Adam is an idiot and interrupts every 20 seconds. Such a moron. Only an idiot would support the BLM scam. Suckers

    Two naturals
I listen to a lot of podcasts and this one jumped the top of the list immediately and is pretty much all I listen to as I’m going through the backlog. Keep it up fellas

    Love the older episodes
I’ve been listening to Adam and Erik on and off for a while. I really love their earlier episodes which focused more on practical info, lake and campsite reviews, and trip reports with a sprinkling of history of the area. Some of the recent episodes have become much more rambling and have veered away from the boundary waters content. Perhaps that’s just the usual winter slump…I still enjoy listening but would love it if they got back to their older format a bit more.

    Sad
These guys started off as the best and most informative BWCA podcast. Things have changed and they want to talk politics. I disagreed with a post on Instagram and I thought I was respectful about their political views and was more annoyed this the vulgarity of the post. They have since blocked me for having a different political view. Enjoy alienating the rest of your listeners.

    Great Podcast
I don’t know what it is about listening to these two goofballs that is so relaxing but it is. Plus they offer great BWCA advice. Erik and Adam - thank you for the work you do with this podcast.

5% boundary waters content, 95% annoying banter

Tumblehome is a true time-capsule podcast!
This is the meat-of-the-order as far as BWCA podcasts go. Content ranges from practical camping and canoeing tips, campsite and lake reviews, book reports about species and important figures in BWCA history,And to a myriad of interesting subjects in between. All this while being washed down by a good swig of an average beer. Tumblehome and Brothers Of The Serpent are my two absolute favorite podcasts! Five stars!

Mostly good, but when it’s not..
Mostly good, but when it’s not, it’s terrible. Had to stop listening midway through Geyser Selfies’ autoerotic mumblebation. Now I know why my wife hates my cynicism so much.

    Love this show
Been here since the beginning and it never gets old. Reminds me of hanging out with my friends back in NE Minnesota, nailing a Grain Belt, and talking good times. Keep it up!

    So, so.
I listened to this podcast for the first year or so, but ultimately got turned off. Big props to these guys for churning out regular content on the Quetico-Superior, but I found some of the advice suspect, an aimless and rambling vibe, and a few shows entirely unlistenable...just blathering on about campsite ratings with shoes full on boxed wine. If one is to highlight aspects of history/ecology of the area, get some expert guests in from time to time. The Geology episode was all over the place and sounded like a bad book recital. The advice that folks only need to learn to paddle on one side of the canoe was laughable. I don’t know, not my cup of tea, even though I like pale ales, pizza rolls, and lakers through the ice. When the Patron/commercialization of the B-dub experience ramped up, I checked out.

Don't you judge me. Sometimes you just want to go back to the good old days. When you didnt have to worry about work or rent or what you're doing with your life. Sometimes you need to sit down and watch cartoons and eat totinos pizza rolls like you did when you were a kid. You bite open one end, squeeze the magma hot filling into your mouth and discard the outside till its cooled down and edible. Don't. Judge. Me. Totinos are delicious and pure and not good for you but who cares when they hug you from the inside out.

    Coghlans Approved!
A great podcast sprinkled with advice, humor, beer and paddlers that love the BDub. Adam and Erik are like an island campsite, bursting with blueberry patches, aurora borealis views and narrow grated fire grates.

    Best BW-related podcast
I happened upon this podcast the first week they published it and have been listening ever since. This is the first podcast that I ever took the time to rate. These guys are good people—even if Adam IS a Packer fan. I almost wish they’d quit so the BW won’t grow in popularity. Wonder if they’d just call me up and talk about the BW and other things each week.

Perfect for not listening to news
The only thing political in this podcast is the fight to protect the park from sulfide ore mining. I have been listening for 4 months now catching up on all of the oldies. I can’t wait to sent them some beer.

EP: 99 Now with more concise dialogue!
I’m still listening... That being said, you guys have gotten more concise which is a definite improvement!

    Fun and relevant
Listening to this podcast is a fun way to look forward to paddling the BWCA! I hope to see you guys up there one day. Keep up the work, especially as it relates to the message of protecting the area against mining interests.

    You guys are rad!
I spoke with Erik the other day on the phone about a trip I am planning this winter and he was happy to chat with me and offer some pointers. I really enjoy your podcast and YouTube videos, so glad I stumbled upon your content!

    They’re living the dream!
These guys have really put together, and continue to put out a VERY informative and easy to listen to podcast. It covers every aspect of paddling and camping in the Boundary Waters: from trip planning, route, what to bring, campsite reviews, fishing, maps, portaging, etiquette... on and on. Everything from a day trip to spending weeks at a time out there, they’ve done it all. Love it! Thanks

    Humble, funny, knowledgeable
I stumbled across Tumblehome this spring in search of a temporary cure for cabin fever, hoping stories of the BWCA would get me through the remaining cold days of winter. Right off the bat I found Erik and Adam hilarious, and they say laughter is the best medicine. Although Tumblehome is sponsored by Clearwater Lodge , I did not have any intent of putting in at their dock but after listening to this podcast I wanted to support the lodge. Erik and Adam are humble in the way they explain their experiences in the BWCA. When I met Erik this summer and told him the descriptions of the lakes, routes, and palisades surrounding Clearwater drew me to the area, he made sure I knew the real reasoning for the podcast. By no means was it an advertisement. He and Adam simply wanted to share the BWCA with others. To get others interested and excited about the beauty and solitude it has to offer. PS. If I had a foot in the brewery business I’d sponsor them but since I don’t, I left a 5 star review.

    Great Clearwater based trip
Great trip and stay on front side and backside of the boundary waters trip - enjoying our first discovery of their podcast on the way home - adding to my favorites and will listen when stuck in traffic on 694

BWCA in my feed every week
I fell in love with the BWCA and Clearwater Historic Lodge more than 30 years ago, but being almost 800 miles away I can’t get there as often as I like. Every week Erik and Adam make it like being in the lodge in front of the fire and listening to their stories while drinking a cold one. Keep up the great work, hope to see you guys again soon. Cheers!

    Best BWCA podcast hands down
Erik and Adam are have great chemistry and are super knowledgeable about the BWCA and Quetico. I love hearing all of the stories and experiences they’ve gathered throughout the years. I will be listening to all they have to say for a long time to come.

    Great topics
I really like the way you guys cover various topics. They are all relevant to travel in a BWCA. Brian

    Informative, fun, and....
Great podcast that is starting to hit its stride now that the basics are covered. Helpful tips and information. I’ve already noted my maps a few times after listening. They don’t take it too seriously, so there are some light moments thrown in that shoe their friendship and personalities. The only problem? It’s March and I won’t be in canoe country until August! This is making me stir-crazy :)
