mintgreenbirdJump in or deep dive.Let me tell ya, I have been a long time listener since the boys started reviewing the hip album by album. These were my reintroduction into the band after a pulled back post Kingston. Iykyk. It has been an absolute joy listening to those shows. (Also on this stream) going back to listen has been great BUT the new jam is the TTH top 40. Learning of fellow hip fans has been killer and hearing their stories has been bubbling up so many memories… sit down…. Make your top 40… compare and contrast. Join in on Facebook and hit the live streams on Sunday’s! (Please note all episodes are great but forgive the dip in quality for the 3-4 episodes I pop in on). If you are a hip fans of ANY caliber…. You need to be in here…. Cheers

Newly HipNew Hip fan from MII grew up in the 90’s 25min from the Ambassador bridge on the US side and didn't hear a whole lot about the Hip at the time. I was first introduced when Pearl Jam played a tribute to Gord with the song light years in 2016 at Wrigley. A truly unforgettable show! I had to see who this band was so I bought “Yer Favorites” and I was captivated. I've been listening to your podcast and working my way through the albums myself. My favorites so far are Road Apples and Live at the Roxy. Can't wait to hear more. Keep bringing the good stuff guys!

bouisseySo this is my new favorite thing.Definitely start at the beginning. Or maybe the Fully Completely episode. This podcast takes you through (at least at the beginning) each Tragically Hip album, puts it in musical and historical context, offers some fandom explanation of the songs, and just geeks out over one of my favorite bands. I’m slowing down my listening of it because I don’t want it to be over too soon.

Alan Keith CarverExcellent source for those unfamiliar with The HipI hosted several podcasts a few years ago. I wish this were one of my shows. They do a FANTASTIC job not only talking about The Hip and their songs, but they also put them into context of the times that they were released, giving you info about what other albums came out at the same time, current sports history, Canadian leadership, etc. Highly recommended for those who are long-term fans of The Hip, but also those who are just learning about what is The Greatest Band of All Time®.

Mt. KirkatoaThe Hip USAWas turned on to the hip while doing work up in Canada in early 2000. Have been a massive fan ever since with multiple shows and own all of their albums. This podcast has been a fantastic re-introduction to a band I love.

SouthtampacaneExcellent Hip PodcastI just found this over the weekend and thrilled to catch up on these episodes (only have heard 3 so far). There are 25 and it will probably take a month to get through them and if I have further comments I'll pass them along. I listened last night to the WATS podcast and then this morning to the EP and yer letters. Since the WATS one is the most recent, I'm glad that they have cut back on the gratuitous and unnecssary swearing. We all curse, but F bombs every 2 minutes are a bit much guys. Otherwise keep up the great work.

ThomDicHarryGreatI love it, of course. I might be the biggest American Hip fan. It’s so interesting to hear these songs dissected and to get the Canadian perspective on the Hip, which I really don’t know much about. The only issue is pretty significant though. I understand setting the scene, but I am baffled by how much time is spent explaining the musical landscape at the time of an album’s release before getting started. I’ve actually turned a few episodes off because half an hour goes by and it’s just rambling about all sorts of different bands. I don’t understand why you would ever spend more than a few minutes with that. Update: I actually like the deep dive into the music climate now. Five stars.

jaygerlandThe definitive Tragically Hip podcastI have a lot of thoughts on these episodes but I just want to say the podcast is excellent. It's professional, informed, and a complete joy for Hip fans and music lovers in general. Thank you for doing this and I can't wait to hear more. In my opinion, this podcast is so well done and so deep into the lore of this band that they should make this the OFFICIAL podcast of the Tragically Hip. Without a doubt. Keep it up music lovers!

Hiplindy82Great HIP podcast!I’ve loved listening to this podcast, an homage to the greatest Canadian (& possibly ALL COUNTRIES!) Rock Band of all time! Jamie & Greg are hilarious, always have entertaining guests & relate the topics of the day to the Hip album they review... if they’re not reviewing an album, they provide some much needed comedy and entertainment that is so much fun to listen to! Even if you’re a new Hip fan, this podcast is sure to delight you! Thanks guys!!!!

SssssstassssMusic lovers unite! After losing our beautiful Gord, this podcast has been a Gordsend. Not everyone understands what this band means to us, these guys do! I love hearing them go track by track it’s great that they are like me and love almost every song. This is one of the first podcasts that I recommended to my husband and he actually listens. 😜 He is excited to discover the solo albums and kicks himself for not getting them sooner. Thanks fellas for this podcast! They get friendship right.

VulpesXThanks for introducing meI was born in 1989 and grew up in Canada, so I was aware of The Hip but never explored them at all. Thanks for properly introducing me to this excellent band. I’ve been buying every album in advance of each episode.

J!!!mmmmmmAmerican Hip fans need this podAs an American fan living in Colorado, I don’t have a lot of people to share the Hip with and this pod fills that need. It is great to hear the music discussed and to feel like I’m not alone way out here in Colorado. I also really appreciate the excuse to go back through all of the albums for the 8000th time, because any excuse is a good excuse! Great job, guys.

BuffaloScottLove the podcastI am a huge Hip fan in Buffalo and love hearing each new episode. Saw the Hip for the first time in ‘94 as a suggestion from an old friend and loved them. Life got busy with kids and work and lost touch for a while until my son got to be late teens and was getting into some of the same music as me and we rediscovered the Hip together. Now we are both totally obsessed. It is great to hear all of your detailed reviews of the songs and little known facts. I admit to having a range of emotions when listening from joy to sadness by reliving such great music but knowing that Gord has passed and we will never be able to experience more new stuff and another show. Thanks again for the good work. Wondering if your next podcast series will be The Importance of the Saxophone in Modern Rock Music.

dcunni09Great for a Canadian in the USAs a Kingstonian living in Silicon Valley since 2002 I don’t get to talk about the Hip as much as I’d like. These guys don’t take themselves too seriously and are genuine fans. I’ve been enjoying going through each one. Well done! Thanks for sharing.

djfk1American Hip FanAs a big Hip fan in the USA (Boston) who never understood why the band never broke here, it’s refreshing hearing a heartfelt discussion of their music from a Canadian perspective. Keep up the great work.

kat8770A Hiptastic TimeFor those that already love The Hip, this podcast is a trip down memory lane. If you are just discovering the greatness that is The Hip, this podcast is a perfect primer to their recorded material. It's got some great live recordings and some great info on not only the band, but things that were happening in the year each album was released. (As an American fan, I have found this to be one of the highlights of the podcast. I now know more about the CFL than I ever thought I needed to know.) The hosts are fun, full of enthusiasm, and obvious love for the band. After an episode or two, you'll find yourself wishing you were in the booth with them to join in the fun.

👍CommuterBobcaygeonPhantom Power cast was great! I first heard of Bobcaygeon in ‘96 thanks to the Corduroy Enduro. When this came out in ‘98 it immediately was one of my faves. Also agree on a great road trip album. I went to many motorcycle races in my old 1991 GMC pickup with this cranking.

thelanes0223Fully and Completely Enjoy this PodcastAs a fan of the Tragically Hip from the southern US, it’s tough to find others with as much passion for this band as I have. So, to find a podcast that discusses each album in depth is such a relief. This is what I would imagine talking with two buddies, who are not only huge Hip fans but are also well versed in discussing music in depth. Thank you guys for the shows, which are informative, funny and honest and I hope this isn’t a “She Didn’t Know” review....
