I'm just a fan of tobymacLove theseI find the podcasts to be super helpful, highly personable and super informative. The BEST PART is being able to fill orders and create while listening and learning. My favorites are Dana’s trend reports. Hoping for more podcasts in 2023 if this feature continues.
-
satwilllSuper Helpful!By breaking down the 2022 holiday trends and applying those trends to 4 different shops, the podcast gave me several product ideas and concrete suggestions to help boost holiday sales. I'm a relatively new Etsy seller and am still chasing the goal of consistent sales. This is the third podcast that I've attended. Each podcast taught me something or gave me an idea I could use to improve my shop. I'm definitely a fan and plan to attend future podcasts!

SadittariusConvo much? Are there two people who work at Etsy that are capable of having a conversation about any topic without needing to read off of an unimaginative, dopey script? Necessary content but nearly impossible to digest.
-
kt on the webDitch the Script!Helpful information, but my gosh, ditch the script. I feel like I’m back in school listening to each person in the class read their part in a play. Etsy sellers are creative and this podcast is unfortunately flat and hard to listen to. My suggestion, have a general outline and then just converse as opposed to reading.

Duke&FoxEtsy should do a podcast on resellersEtsy has been flooded with resellers, that’s a threat to handmade and hurts handmade pricing. Want is Etsy doing to keep the market handmade? I myself have reported numerous listings and they never get removed.
-
tthomas32Simple and informativeI appreciate the simple format this podcast helps give for us Etsy sellers. It doesn’t overwhelm you with information and keeps it grounded with content truly intended to help alter your Etsy shop- little by little- to amount to success.

zeyn eInspiringi find these podcast series very informative. Always learn something new 😊

Dr John tacoSo much good informationSo little sound design. We are all crafty and aficionados of crafty things but I’m a little disappointed at the lack of thought put into the sounds and over-all format of this podcast.

tierneycreatesThe show is evolving nicely! When this podcast first started I probably would’ve given it a 4.2 rating but it’s a evolved to a 5.0 show!I really love listening to the success stories and struggles and other Etsy sellers and the trends reports!

orgemcutsNeed to knowWhen Ads confused me, I found just the right show and thoroughly valued the experience. Thanks artist for contributing.

SwedebeadExtremely boringCould you pick someone with a more engaging do so these podcasts? At best, she sounds like a robot reading off a script. Even if I try to really hard to stay engaged, I loose interest after a few minutes. Excruciatingly dull!
-
User1219ZzzzzzzCould Tess be more low energy? This pod is such a snooze. I delete most of the eps before I finish bc I get so bored.

Dreambuilder90Cheryl’s ShoppeI’m gearing up for opening an Etsy shop and your podcasts have been so informative! Thanks for orchestrating these podcasts and the sharing the great information you present.

feral momma number 9Building my confidence!Excellent podcast. So grateful for LL and the Etsy success podcast. Since I discovered this resource, several months ago, I have been gobbling up the episodes as fast as possible. I have listened to a wide variety of art business podcasts and so far, this one has provided me with more of what I need than any of the others. LL is very generous with his advice and support and definitely is building my confidence in terms of starting an ETSY shop. I’ve been gearing up to open my shop for over a year now, but this podcast is giving me the missing tools I needed to feel like I can just go ahead and jump in. I feel like now I actually kind of know what I’m doing! Thank you and I hope you keep the content and the enthusiasm coming! Sincerely Gina Humble

Amanda - SLOAbsolutely love this podcast!Love love love this podcast. I've learned so much about managing and market my Etsy shop. Hearing real-life success stories is very inspirational. My only suggestion, would be to work on the sound quality. Sometimes it is hard to hear the interviewee. Sounds like its they're on the phone and it's not as crisp as it could be.
-
AbbyWoernerGreat information when we get itI do love this podcast. I just wish it was more consistent. Sometimes there are two posts in a month and then there are times we go months with nothing. I’ve been selling on Etsy for three years and love the information we get, but some consistency would be a huge improvement.
-
Flock TaxidermyExcellent resourceAs a creative having a shop on Etsy for over five years now, I appreciate hearing each micro topic this podcast covers with real buyer and seller feedback. It helps keep up with the evolution of the Etsy marketplace and gives insight into fine tuning your shop for success. Thank you!!

jenn41Very InspiringI really enjoy listening to this podcast. I love how every episode tackles a specific aspect of selling on Etsy and how they bring in someone to talk about how they improved their shop in that way. Each episode really inspires me to work more on my shop, and they just have tons of wonderful tips in each. It's awesome, and I'd highly recommend trying it!

sbm99999Content is good but the sound quality is terribleI appreciate the content focused on etsy sellers success. I cannot stand the sound quality of the podcasters voices. Their voices seem to quake and shake and the tone and inflections of their voices sounds very unprofessional and is very hard for me to listen to. I think the podcast could be improved greatly with audio assistance and a voice coach.

JaneVanAlways Learn Something NewI love listening to the podcast because I always learn something new that I can apply to my shop. I’ve learned to work on my shop bit by bit as I have the time. I know I can count on this podcast for encouragement and insights.
-
BsbsjdLove itI’ve had my shop open for almost 8 years. This podcast is full of information for new and seasoned sellers alike.

LeeshannThank you for making this a podcast!I am horrible at reading anything except art books on technique and modern in classical fiction. I keep meaning to read about marketing but my eyes cross and I just go back to creating more artwork. Of course this means my sales are horrible but with this podcast, I have a feeling that’s all going to change now. My sales have steadily been increasing with one on one customers. So now it’s time to launch my Etsy shop with real conviction! From a maker that is too busy to read but would love to listen as I create.

Nailes2This seasons tools and advertisingI agree with what etsy is doing promoting free shipping and appreciate the increase in advertising. The new tools are great IF they applied to you. As a mobile only internet access user of 7 years and a seller who targets mobile app users Etsy data both for PL and natural listing relevancy is pretty much worthless to me when I’ve built an almost 84% mobile user stat. I have to gage my success with the numbers for data I do not see and that’s an issue. Not having access to mobile user data to me is a serious issue. If 60% of users are mobile and a large portion of that is app users, if we currently have 40% of the traffic generating 60% of the sales were are the abandonment issues and why? As a seller ease of use for customization is an issue as we know people don’t read and they are visual buyers. The people with the least access to information and who are the most visual have the least ease of use. Requiring sellers to jump through hoops creatively to try to deal with that and we can’t do anything about those that walk away from confusion. As a mobile only internet user and buyer I understand the issues and confusion and issues for people unfamiliar with the platform. I’d like to see more focus on converting the traffic we get that’s walking away and resulting in the current statistics.

dantendebMyth Busting PodcastJust finished the Myth Busting Podcast and it was excellent. Helped to correct some misconceptions I had about different SEO issues. I would love to listen to more like this. Thank you for producing a helpful, interesting podcast.

MarenD61The Crackle Valley Girl Voice - I just couldn’t listenThis may be a great podcast, but the crackle/valley Girl voice of Makayla just drove me mad. I get that you aren't professional speakers but to listen to someone speaking like a teen is just maddening! I would definitely read a transcript, but I just couldn’t continue to listen.
-
SpringWiseFine listen...But somebody please tell Dayna what Netflix and Chill means
-
prblmchyldNeeds workOkay, but the vocal fry is painful to listen to, and the up-speak. Just use your natural voice please.
-
troidawnFantasticI absolutely love this podcast! My husband and I have recently jumped on the podcast wagon and I have to say, this etsy success podcast with Tess is great! I’ve been listening every day. As a new shop owner on etsy I’m learning so much! All of the information is relative and helpful for everyone and every niche of creativity! I highly recommend this podcast!

rosssgrrlGreat Quality, But Not EnoughBecause this is an official Etsy podcast, there is a lot of good information to here. I like how the hosts have a fairly structured agenda and each podcast is fairly team specific. However, because it is an official Etsy podcast I was hoping they would dig deeper into some of their topics, like SEO or seasonal shop tips. I guess what I’m saying is that there’s nothing wrong with the Podcasts as is except that I want more!

LauraDuquThank youPodcasts I believe are very effective reaching us sellers. Some of us esp artists do not want to read documents after document. Therefore putting a personality showing you are supporting “us” sellers, thank you- The price change “anxiety” is now gone. With better understanding so Thank you

FoothilllaneNeeds improvementI have had an Etsy shop for years and really love learning from podcasts. This one is really hard to listen too. Very monotone, low energy. Not quite professionally done. Really want a great Etsy podcast. Guess I’ll keep looking.

LeylaRoseMarieI was lost before...I'm just starting up my Etsy shop and have been feeling so overwhelmed; nervous about setting myself apart and scared I won't be able to make a sucess of my work and myself. I've now listened to every episode at least once and I've been given new hope. I now feel like yes I can do this, it won't be easy, but it is possible! This new optimistic feeling is thanks to this wonderfully curated group of interviews. Thank you so much to the team responsible for making this, you may just be the reason I am able to change the course of my life!

JLR1260Get rid of “like”I’m only partway through the Instagram podcast. It’s hard to hear what’s being said and take someone seriously when every fourth or fifth word is “like.” A public speaking class is probably a good idea.

Portland PandemoniumInside The Buyer's MindLadies, I cannot tell you how disheartening it is to be captive to the up-inflections at the end of almost every sentence spoken on these podcasts; it is like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. Otherwise, this was a good topic and well presented with some acutal marketing data and demographics. Apprecitated it is, Daniel

awesome77777777777777777Please stop with the girly giggling and the UPSPEAKThe content can be good, but doesn't sound professional when the hosts and some guests sound like 20-year olds with frequent giggles and the constant rise in tone at the end of the sentence. Very hard to listen to.
-
Hannah coThis Podcast is a must-I love this podcast, it is done professionally! Very organized — not annoying at all. Also, it inspires me and gives me ideas of what to do do what not to do. I love to listen while I’m creating. Bring your notebook, there are so many useful tidbits.

SixDotsNew to PodcastsI've had an Etsy shop for 7 years but have never listened to podcasts while I work. It's helping me stay very motivated listening to other shop owners offer tips and advice. I see myself in so many other artists. Listening to Smirking Goddess now.
-
KategroopOne super happy listener!!I LOVE listening to you, Bobbi and Tess! Thanks ladies for sharing so much insight and helpful tips for all of us Etsy sellers! My fav things about this podcast: The length of time- 20 minutes, is perfect. I can listen to a whole episode in the car to pick up kids from school or on my way to the gym. This makes me feel like I am accomplishing work, and I always enjoy that time more because of your podcast! The questions are interesting and to the point. You have a positive vibe and tone to the podcast that I have found lacking in other small biz podcasts, and the Etsy seller stories at the end are heart-warming! Thank you so so much for putting yourselves into this podcast. It is really truly good. Please keep them coming! I can’t wait to see what will be next.

KabrittaGreat for Sellers: Suggestions for Future EpiI have found a good number of these interviews extremely helpful for figuring out as a Seller how to make progress with our store. Few suggestions for future episodes: 1. Would love an interview discussing with a successful Seller whether product placement services work for getting a product into blogs, magazines or other platforms that broaden potential sales. Any recommended watering holes for this? 2. Also best practices for sending out samples to editors, bloggers and stylists etc. Thank you for all your hard work! It is a great podcast.

Bees toneGood info, not so good soundsI was pretty excited to see this podcast, but have found it almost unlistenable because of the speaking patterns of the hosts and several of the guests. I get that it's a Milennial thing that is spreading like a virus, but I can't abide upspeak and vocal fry. either alone or a mix of the two. It sounds unprofessional in general and like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Listen to highly rated, successful podcasts and chances are you'll find hosts (male and female) who don't employ these affectations. Bummer because initially I was looking forward to listening to the series regularly.

Small Business MamaLife ChangingListening to your podcasts while I work on my small business products is my new happy place. I’ve learnt SO much. Like so many, l gave up my career to be a stay at home mom. My mom friends convinced me to start my shop as a creative outlet to sell my party goods and children’s accessories. Thank you so much for making me realize there are others out there like me. I’ve always felt guilty and greedy that I’m not satisfied just staying at home with my son. I’ve worked hard to juggle both. I’m making changes to my business every podcast and your topics are all relevant. Thank you so much! Vanessa
-
Nick.FoosI was really excited when this launched......but was really underwhelmed. I was hoping for concrete tips and techniques that I could start using in my business, but I found that, for the most part, there are lots of fluffy platitudes that sound awesome, but don’t offer much else. Also, several of the success stories (interview with Etsy sellers) boiled down to 1) something really lucky happened, 2) I had lots of time and money to work with already, or 3) I already have an amazing talent and don’t need to try and sell my work at all (it sells itself!). Don’t get me wrong—I’m thrilled these folks are successful. But I think most people on Etsy are using this platform to find themselves and their passion, and to develop their business as they go. I looooove love love love Etsy, but I’m not thrilled with this podcast.
