    We Love These Boys!!!
The boys put so much time and effort into their podcasts. I feel like I actually learn something from the podcasts. Plus, you have to keep up with Rob because he is constantly (well, frequently!) making dirty innuendo (at which Kevin rolls his eyes). Would be great if they could do at least one a month but they did 2x a week for YEARS!

    Who knew!!!
This became a Pandemic find and has helped me traverse it. LOVE especially interviews with Composers, Publicists, Graphic Designers. Love hearing from the actors who I never knew had such deep Theatre roots- and people like Harvey Evans, Carole Cook, the artists who may not be stars but are the backbone of the industry. Hope with everything I know is going on right now(Jan 2022) the guys can get back to it soon. And those who know the 'Living Legends' of the stage turn them on to this, maybe doing the podcast with Rob and Kevin. I had known Lyn Redgrave and if she were still here I'd have turned steered her her immediately, she would have loved it (and had wonderful stories to share).

    Best of Broadway podcasts!
There is no better Broadway/creative artist interview podcast out there! Rob and Kevin are the greatest!
  • A Dear Friend Lee Roy!!
    Great Interviews
Two excellent interviewers and guests from every part of the business we call Show. Laugh out loud, sing a song from a score, as you learn intimate details about the guest of the week. You may even kick up your heels or shuffle off to Buffalo while you listen to secrets never shared before about some of the friends this weeks guest wishes to reveal. After the show they may be bosom buddies or permanently crossed off the dinner party list for life!!

Your Halloween podcast was the funniest I’ve ever heard. You both have such clever wit. Many thanks for your “Favorite Things” and your delightful interviews. Welcome Back ! You were very missed. You the most entertaining podcast about the theater I’ve yet to hear. Please don’t go away. Two of the best guests ever. I love Peter and always can’t wait to hear him and his wonderful comments and unbelievable knowledge every Sunday. You’re podcasts are my favorite. Love your brilliance and even more, your ability to always put a smile on my face. Thank you so very much, especially during this COVID Era.

    Brilliant
Wonderful podcast about the legends and lore of Broadway. Both Rob and Kevin are funny, engaging and knowledgeable hosts. The interviews are fascinating and My Favorite Things on Thursday is the best especially when they go a bit off topic.

    Very Good!
I FINALLY started getting into podcasts again and I love Broadway. I've tried TONS of podcasts and this is one of the podcasts I really enjoy. There are tons of episodes, so it will take me a while to listen to all of them, but I'll get to them eventually. I've listened to a lot of their most recent episodes already and look forward to learning more from the show!

    Peter Gallagher
Was lucky enough to see this oh so talented man on Broadway in Noises Off. Now through this intimate conversation I fell in love with him all over again. Thank you gentlemen for another wonderful evening.

Thrilled to hear from the music department!
Thank you for giving a voice to people it can be hard to hear from - the orchestrators, dance arrangers, and music directors, especially. I’d love to hear from Danny Troob and see an episode arranged for Glen Kelly + piano (with maybe more about Peter Howard). Can’t thank you enough for sharing these stories with us!

    IT'S MY NEW "FAVORITE THING"
Kevin and Rob are so knowledgeable and funny. Their "Favorite Things" episodes have become one of my favorite things in life. I catch myself laughing outloud so much. Being lucky enough to be a working actor (Which takes me out of NYC most of the year). They keep me in the loop as to what is happening back at home in the Theatre world. If you are a HUGE Theatre lover this is the podcast for you!! It also helps that Kevin is one of the kindest, most generous, and extremely talented people that I have ever met in my 21 years in NYC.

    I Love This Show!
As a self-confessed Show Queen who has trouble finding people who can keep up with me in a conversation about flop musicals and the like, these guys make me feel as if I’ve found members of my tribe.

As someone who is so interested in musical theatre, this podcast is so awesome to listen to. Hearing from people who have performed, written, and done just about everything on Broadway pleases my inner history buff and theatre geek. Thank you for this podcast!!!

Must listening for any lover of broadway
This is an amazing podcast for the insights and information which it provides about broadway past and present - and the talented people 'Behind the Curtain'. Listening is like evesdropping on a facinating conversation between those who made broadway history and expert fans with the backround and talent to ask the right questions and listen to the answers. The interviewers are thoughtful, informed and careful not to make the interviews become about themselves and their own careers. On separate weekly 'My Favorite Things' segments, we d0 get a separate opportunity for insights into the careers and experiences of both hosts, as well as valuable information on upcomming events of interest and worthwhile books, videos, recordings, etc. which would likely be overlooked without their special recommendations. Behind the Curtain - 'Now and Forever' (apologies to ALW).

    Kev, please shush
I love this podcast. If Kevin could recognize that podcasts are not a visual medium and instead of constantly chiming in/interrupting the guests with “wow-ow” and “unbeeeievable” et al. and instead limit his encouragement of the guests’ stories to silent smiles and nods I’d be so so grateful. I do appreciate his enthusiasm and yet I wish he wouldn’t verbally interject so much bc it is maddening and contributes nothing but milquetoast interruption to the flow of otherwise wonderful stories. Rob does a wonderful job of asking guiding questions when necessary. Kev-bear really only contributes pestering nonsense. It is like a toddler or a Caucasian teenage girl obsessed w her own voice is in the room. I just wanna hear to legends speak, sweety. Be quiet and get mommy a martini or if you can’t stop blithering on please pack your bag and just go to your dad’s house until I’m ready for you to come back this weekend. If I’m ready.

    5 stars
I've known about this podcast for a long time and now I'm overwhelmed because, having recently listened to 20 episodes in about 5 days, I will be listening to every single one. I'm not going to read the other 188 reviews (so far) but I'm sure (since they are all 5 stars) they say how informative and funny and generally excellent this series is. However, the creators keep asking me (via podcast) to write them a review, and so here I am. I consider myself extremely well-informed on the subject matter but there is much for me to learn in every episode. Not only that, there is the opportunity for this to be critical and negative and judgmental, but in the best of all possible ways, they celebrate their subjects with positivity and depth and a genuine love of theatre in general, Broadway and beyond. Listen.

    One of my Favorite Things!
I have been listening to this podcast since the very beginning, and it provides such wonderful insight into the wonderful world of Broadway. I love that the interviews are with all sorts of people behind the scenes- not just the stars on the stage. Rob and Kevin are hilarious and so knowledgable. As a lifelong broadway fan I'm always learning something new and being exposed to shows and people I didnt know about before. A must listen!

A must listen for BROADWAY fans
This is a wonderful Broadway podcast that alternates between interviews with Broadway legends of many disciplines and a sharing of favorite things that may or may not be directly or tangently related to Broadway and theatre. Thanks for all of your work. I have come across this podcast more recently with the interview with Michael Starobin, and have since been binging through all of he older episodes.

    A must-listen
They not only get great guests, they know how to interview them. Every one I've listened to has been a gem--a great mix of serious and funny, full of great stories. Especially recommended: Anita Gillette, Don Pippin, and Nancy Dussault. (The "My Favorite Things" episodes are great, too!) Really a must for lovers of the Broadway musical.

    This PodCast is Amazing!
I have spent countless hours listening to Behind the Curtain and I never get tired of hearing all the fun interviews Rob and Kevin do with the Legends of Broadway! These guys are so passionate about preserving the legacy of the American Musical Theatre and they have gone the extra mile to make contact with the Legends and have their stories documented for future generations to hear! I’m seriously thrilled each week when the next new podcast pops up in my podcast library and can’t wait to hear each new episode! Keep up the good work guys! Btw I have recently made contact with 2 Legends of the theatre I would love for you to interview!!!
